Dr. Jiyung Kang

Dr. Jiyung Kang was born and raised in South Korea. He moved to the United States in 2003 to seek a better opportunity for his family. Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Kang honorably served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic and completed a tour in Iraq. While serving in the Army, he found his dedication to helping patients and rendering care to people in need. 

After his service in the US Army, Dr. Kang went on to graduate from Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

Dr. Kang believes that as a dental provider, his most important goal is to treat patients like his family and to ensure that they have the best experience possible during their visit. He is very interested in continuously enhancing the depth of his knowledge in dentistry and regularly takes continuing education courses in various areas.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kang is married to his lovely wife Susan, and they have three beautiful children. He is also an avid golfer and a fan of University of Oregon sports—Go Ducks!
