Emergency Dentistry

There’s nothing quite like a dental emergency to turn your life upside down. Whether you have a toothache or your dental crown fell off, your only concern is getting relief and getting it as quickly as possible.;

At Sunrise of Dental of Eugene, we always allow extra time in our schedule for emergency patients who can’t and shouldn’t wait to be seen. While we may not have time to complete treatment that day, we will ensure that you are safe and comfortable until we can schedule you for our first open appointment.

Dr. Jiyung Kang served our country as a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army and is an Iraq War Veteran. You can trust that he has experience handling a wide range of dental emergencies and providing the expert care you need.

Common Dental Emergencies We Treat

We are pleased to offer prompt emergency dentistry for patients in Eugene who are experiencing any of the following problems:

  • Toothache
  • Broken tooth
  • Lost filling or crown
  • Bleeding or swollen gums
  • Jaw pain or swelling
  • Abscessed or infected tooth
  • Broken dentures
  • Dental trauma

Some dental emergencies are more critical than others, so we may need to see you the same day, or we may be able to schedule you for the next day. In any case, Dr. Kang will evaluate your needs and recommend steps to help relieve your pain or discomfort.

Avoid Many Dental Emergencies with Prevention

Obviously, you can’t plan for every dental emergency, but you can minimize your risk for cavities and gum disease by making your oral health a priority.

Brushing and flossing – Be sure to brush twice a day and floss once. If you don’t feel confident that you’re getting the most out of your efforts, Dr. Kang or our dental hygienist will be happy to demonstrate the proper technique.

Maintain preventive visits – When you maintain appointments for exams and teeth cleanings every six months, our dentist in Eugene can help you avoid cavities that lead to toothaches and infected teeth. We’ll check your dental work and look for signs of loose crowns or broken fillings.

We’re Here for Your Dental Emergency

At Sunrise Dental of Eugene, we offer emergency dentistry, including tooth fillings, extractions, root canals, and more. Because we make your urgent problem our priority, we can often provide same-day emergency dentistry.

If you are in pain or have another critical dental problem, please call us at (458) 201-8471 to schedule an emergency appointment. A caring team member will take your call, give you instructions for handling your emergency, and get you on our schedule as soon as possible.

After hours, feel free to call and leave a message, and we will return your call as soon as possible.
